Selling tools and listing
If you’re using one account for your domestic and international transactions, your current Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro subscription will show all your transactions together.
If you’ve set up separate account(s) to handle your international transactions, you’ll need to subscribe to Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro on your new account(s).
Turbo Lister supports listing on all eBay sites from the same version, although you’ll have to download updates for each international site you want to list on. If you’ve registered multiple accounts then you’ll have to switch between them.
If you choose the passive method to show listings internationally, eBay will automatically convert the UK price into the local currency in search results. The buyer will see the UK price on the view item page along with an approximation of the price in their local currency. If you want to sell an item at a different price on an overseas site, you’ll need to actively list the item separately on the chosen site.
To get an idea of what price to set, it’s worth looking at completed listings for items that you want to sell on that site. Professional research tools such as Terapeak can also help you identify international market demand and provide guidance on pricing strategy.
Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro enable you to compare sales across all sites for your account. If you have more than one eBay account you will be unable to combine sales for all these accounts into a single view. In this instance, third party tools such as eSellerPro and Channel Advisor enable inventory to be shared across multiple sites.
If you choose passive international selling, your inventory is associated with a single listing that gets visibility on multiple sites.
When you actively list on an international site, we recommend you list in the local language. Translating your listings is key for expanding in the given market and cuts the risk of low detailed seller ratings. Listings that contain content that is difficult for buyers to understand goes against the eBay Selling Practices Policy. Therefore sellers actively listing with item descriptions in a language different to that used on the site can risk their listings being removed by eBay customer services.
Here are some free and paid-for translation companies you could try:
Paid-for services:
- Inter Cultural Elements
- Web Interpret
Free services:
- Google Translate
- Bing Translate
eBay is neither endorsing nor recommending these services.

The selection of products that can be listed through catalogues is different across the sites as the products may differ. Catalogue coverage is most comprehensive on UK and German sites and we recommend you use the catalogue where a match exists for your product as it makes it easier for buyers to find and buy your items.
